I was atop a hill, amongst many friends, yet I found my eyes drawn upward. The comforts I was surrounded by left me looking higher. The stars declared a truth beyond where my feet were walking. The fireworks display of man was dim in comparison to God’s great fireworks in the sky. A longing for the heavens of eternity weighed upon my heart and I grew inwardly quiet to wait. My soul wanted the more.
Lam 3:25-26 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD.
Ecc 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
